The Great Rescue!

Hello All,

Well I'm not sure where to start so I guess I'll just go with the flow.

A long time ago back in the 80's, my dad had always love Rockets, Planes, Trains, and Auto mobiles. Well he just happen to get into the carnival business. One day he acquired a rocket ship simulator. Being the first of its kinda and years ahead of the industry in motion simulators.

He ran it for years and when I was born I ran it to illegally of course :) (Swear I was born on it but no one will come forward on that). He eventually had to sell it when times got hard, and he also sold Riverland Amusement park too. So years later around 2008 another Astroliner appeared. We found it in Massachusetts and it was like a diamond in the rough.

When we arrived that morning the owner Jule was there,  Him and his crew on the way to lunch. They said go ahead and look her over, Him and his crew made a bet that by the time they got back we would of ran away.

When I saw her it felt like it was calling me. Kinda like Mel in the TV Show "Fire Fly". Is just was sitting there waiting for me, god only know how many owners she had. It was like i found my Serenity.  The last time it was ran was 1998, and it was number 8 off of Wisdom MFG, line of Astroliners. As far as I know their are only 9 in the USA and about 6 world wide still operating.
I think Jules crapped him self when we said we'll take it. I really wish my camera was on because it's that face where someones OMGWTFBBQ did that just really happen.

Space Pioneers

So we where loaded up and also got a generator out of the deal, a good old Detroit Diesel. We headed home and lets just say our first challenge to get her home was the 90 degree mountain we had to climb to get out of the Massachusetts. I think we swetted out lunch hoping the truck would make that hill. After burning a quarter tank getting up that hill we where home bound! The only thing stopping us was the Burger King we ate and possible the police stopping us say what the hell is that? We did get a lot of looks on the way home, When we pulled into a rest area in pennsylvania their was a crowd of people taking photos. I think everyone thought it was a WMD, well it looked like one.

Arriving home at 4am in the morning the next day we parked her on the flat where she would be rebuild and ready to fly once again.

My dad said I was crazy but I started the repairs Immediately, pulling everything out and cleaning out dust and dabree. Their where birds nests, Raccoon nests, Mice nest, Fish nest.....
okay you get the idea.
I know my mom was like where going to have to look at that damn thing all winter. I told her to get used to it we're going to be looking at it for a long time.

At the start of the rebuild Jeff Cable (A.k.a. Dully) was doing some much need upgrades, did want anything falling off.  Then we moved over to our gun happy NRA VFW friend Ricks welding shop in Livonia. I love this guy, how many people do you know make there own bullets? just ask your self.

Rick straighten the trailer, fabricated the stairs and beef up the shocks and many other parts of the ship. I remember when he first saw it he was like are you going to shoot that or actually attempt to going into space? with a cigar in his mouth.

Just before we began to paint, the nose cone (aka Ion cannon) came in from Wisdom :D I was geeked.

Finally the we had a warm spell for a week and after extensive sanding, by me and Aziaz.  Me and my brother where able to paint it. Then me and my friend Robert Cable began the Carpenter work of the flooring, walls and cockpit. I was getting tired of walking on planks!

Me and Rob where inside while Aziaz painted the trailer. Funny thing is everyone ask why blue? normally the nose cone and tail end are red. Well I wanted something different I thought yellow but I might of made it look ghetto so I stuck with blue. Finally the end of July came around she was ready to roll out of the drive way. I'd have to say it was scary the first time out, new ship never been ran. She ran like a champ! Word got out on the streets their was an Astroliner in town and Frank Zaitshik owner of Wade Shows said hey bring her on down to the Michigan State Fair! I was like get the ^&*#*out of here! I didn't know what to say but Me, My dad, Aziaz, John Sturgle, Tim Elkins, and Robert Cable ran her for 14 days straight. Never had one problem ran like it just came off the line.

Well the last few years have been interesting, now 2012 and the Astroliner has gone through some major changes. Its not your ordinary Astroliner, watching a movie "Yay......~" My attempts at being a film director are coming true and this year I'm going on the Fear Effect. So I'll be updating with all the new updates including the new comic book which my brother won't get off my back about :), yea I'm getting there. The first book will be ready "New Hire's?"

I'm outty don't forget to check out the movie preview @ http://youtu.be/RzRQxdL-1Zg
